New One: Calling In Sick

Just put a new lyric video up on the channel — "Calling In Sick."
It's the smirkiest thing I've written: a guy performing his very best fake cough into the phone while somebody worth staying home for laughs at him from the other side of the bed. One-take wonder — an absolute breeze.
This one fought me. I had a whole earlier version — different verses, different feel — and it just sat there being fine. Fine is the enemy. So I tore it down and rebuilt it with more wink in it, and somewhere around take twenty it finally grinned back at me.
Symptoms include her smile. There's no shot for that.
